With the arrival of GL Events as Chairman of the Board of Directors, ST-ART is capitalising on its long experience and turning a new leaf.
Photography is awarded place of honour with MEP – Maison Européenne de la Photographie –presenting the artist Bettina Rheims’ solo show. She is considered to be one of the most important photographers of our age. Indeed Bettina Rheims’ work is often perceived as Parisian chic and shock and she has no doubt been a driving force in the chic-porn wave that has swept through fashion house advertising over the last few years.
A photo area has been created as a backdrop to the arrival of MEP.
ST-ART has invited the renowned art critic, Michel Nuridsany, to share his analysis of the artists, artistic movements and galleries present at the Fair. Michel Nuridsany has played a major role in redefining relations between photography and art and literature, leading to the photographic image gaining a sustainable place in the cultural landscape.
This year, ST-ART is committed to raising awareness in companies as to tax exemptions for purchasing art works through a series of lectures and events.
ST-ART is also renewing its selection of French and foreign galleries representing all artistic trends over the last fifty years.
A VIP operation is also proposed with the Strasbourg Modern and Contemporary Art Museum, Le Maillon Theatre and the International Glass Biennial.
Finally, an “ex-muros” trail has been organised to explore contemporary statue art in the City of Strasbourg.
