Forum Copenhagen,
Art Copenhagen 2013 is held for the 17.th time and from this year with a
new profile as Denmark's new International art fair for contemporary
art presenting 59 up-and-coming as well as established galleries
galleries from 15 countries, ex Los Angeles, London, Singapore,
Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin. The art fair has develloped from
a national art fair to a leading Nordic Art Fair - and is now the
only International Art Fair in Scandinavia.
To encourage our guests to buy art we introduce a new initiative: ART START.
ART START is an exhibition where all galleries bring an original work of
art to be sold at a fixed price of 1.000 Euro. The works will be
displayed on the website in August.
At Art Copenhagen our guests can also meet leading Danish museums and
our partners - and an interesting program with art talks and free guided
tours introducing artists and galleries to the visitors.
Facts
- Art Copenhagen is this year held for the 17.th time, having existed since 1997.
- In 2012, 10,504 visitors attended Art Copenhagen.
- In 2012 69 galleries from around the world and a collection of museums
and exhibition venues such as ARoS and Copenhagen Art Festival
participated.
-The fair is owned by Forum Copenhagen, which together with a fair
committee is responsible for artistic management and selecting the
participating galleries.
